FPS's Rock!

I haven't been posting lately because I've been playing way too many computer games.

So, last Thursday, I checked out Call of Duty for pc. I had to install it five times, grab some files from the internet, it didn't work, and I only returned with one CD because I couldn't find the other one :-(. I checked out another copy today, and it worked with no hitch on my pc. I think the library has a conspiracy going on...

As usual, I've been commenting on people's blogs with reckless abandon, and I keep on wasting my valuable non-adult years playing Counter-Strike: Source.

I've been staying in a classroom at lunch and began making C++ programs.

*Begin void for RSS readers*

Grab a C++ compiler from Google (type in "Bloodshed C++"), start a new source file, paste the following program in, run and compile, and voila! (It doesn't work right, so if you have some C++ knowledge, you'll know how to fix it.)

*Begin program*

// falsewate.cpp - - paste, compile, and run for a (un)pleasant surprise!
#include
using namespace std;
int main()
{
int real;
int irreal;
int surreal;

cout << "Enter your weight in pounds.\n";
cin >> real;
irreal = real * 10;
surreal = real / 10;
cout << "I doubt your weight is " <<>
cout << "It's probably " <<>
cin.get();
cin.get();
return 0;
}

*End program*
*End RSS reader void*

So, I made that program at school and we all had a few good laughs. Did I show it to Alice yet? Mebbe I should so I can see the look on her face...

Oh yeah, anyone who is reading this: GET COUNTER-STRIKE: SOURCE!!!!

My School

I downloaded this awesome free trial of a program. It takes high-resolution satellite pictures from major metro locations.

Three guesses to where this is! :-D

Digital Cameras and Camcorders

T've realized I haven't posted much, so I'll make a post.

I wish I had a digital camera or camcorder. If I had a digital camera, I could take pictures, edit them, and put them up on a photoblog. If I had a camcorder, I could take videos and send them to people, and if I ever get my own server, I could also host them on a videoblog.

If I had a photoblog, I'd name it PhotoK.

New Background Music

Well, RSS readers, skip this title.

I changed the background music to play the whole of Diz Knee Land in all of its 256kbps glory! You can also download it in my profile...

RSS Feed

Oh, someone wanted to know my RSS feed, so here it is:

http://ricera10.blogspot.com/atom.xml

I don't have a RSS reader/thingy, so I wouldn't really care.

64-Bit Processors

I don't post much because there really isn't much to post about right now, but today's an exception.

I read the May edition of "PC World," and I found a cool article on AMD 64-bit processors. I want to get a new motherboard and their top-of-the-line "FX-55" processors so I can turn up the detail levels and have more textures on Half-Life 2. The problem? The motherboard is only $185, but the price of the FX-55 processor is $999 on Amazon. Well, at least it arrives in 1-2 business days... :p

Someday

I haven't posted in a loooonng time, so this is my post.

I declared today's church service the longest ever in history of any church service. I had a headache, and that didn't stop until 4 today. Well, after church we came home, ate pizza, and went to the library because I had some philosophy thing to do. I had to look for info regarding Thomas Hobbes on human nature :-(. We also could only look for it in a book, so we had to make copies of what we found. :-( :-(. On a lighter note, I saw Matt B. and Justin at the library, doing the same assignment. Matt's cell phone rang in the middle of the library, and Justin had to help turn it off because Matt didn't know how to work it. Also, Justin had trouble finding John Locke at the library, so Matt had to help him.

Well, this was a long post...

My Celtic Horoscope

I was reading Alice's Blog and came across her "Celtic Horoscope". I followed the link, and well, this is mine:

You Are A Weeping Willow Tree

You are a dreamer, and you're into almost any kind of escapism. Restless and capricious, you love to travel to exotic places. You are easily influenced by others, as long as they don't pressure you. You tend to suffer in love until you find that one loyal, steadfast partner. An empathetic friend, you love to make others smile and laugh.

Weird, huh?

Friends' Blogs' Links

I've also added the links to my friends' blogs to my Links section, so you don't have to scroll down to click on them.

Also, this is a survey:

Have Americans' attention spans shrunk to the point of retardation?
  1. Yes
  2. No
  3. Past the point of retardation
  4. We are as engaged in world politics, news, intelligence, and culture as ever
  5. TV has its own ten commandements

Days 6&7 of Spring Break

Wow! I haven't updated my blog in a long time because I keep on playing Counter-Strike:Source so much. Well, so here's a post that recaps the last 2 days.

Day 6

Today wasn't that intersting except that I went bike riding for two hours with Adam to GameStop and then the Library, and then we went to his house and Eric R. and Warren came, so we bike rode for another half-hour, and then we came back to Adam's house, did some stuff outside for ten minutes, and then his mom came and recommended we all go home before it rains. Well, there was a severe thunderstorm warning today in the evening. There was thunder and rain, but the computer didn't turn off during the storm.

Day 7

Honestly, there's nothing here to say. I played Counter-Strike: Source and a tiny bit of Half-Life 2. Well, Sam went to his friend's, Alex's, house a little bit in the afternoon.

Happy April Fools' Day!
